ARTIST BIO
Lisa Lofton is a prominent figure in the Jacksonville arts community, serving as the President of the Jacksonville Artists Guild and the Immediate Past President of The Art Center Cooperative, Inc. She is also a member of the Art League of Jacksonville, reflecting her commitment to promoting and supporting local artists.

With a strong academic background in Architectural Design and Fine Art from the University of Florida, as well as information technology from the University of North Florida, Lisa has successfully blended her artistic talents

with her professional experience in technology. She spent over 27 years in the corporate world, including 12 years as a senior project manager for a Fortune 500 company and another 15 years as a graphic designer, web
designer and marketing manager for a European Linen retailer.

Transitioning to focus entirely on her artistic pursuits, Lisa has developed a distinctive style as a 2-D artist, primarily working with acrylics on canvas. Her artwork reflects her love for Jacksonville and Florida, drawing inspiration from the region's architecture, people, landscapes, and industries. Lisa's bright and illustrative style fosters emotional connections to specific times and places, effectively capturing the essence of her surroundings. She often incorporates a mix of mediums, including washes, charcoal, and ink, to create dynamic compositions.

Lisa's work has garnered recognition, as evidenced by features in Jacksonville Historic Life Magazine and her selection to exhibit at Jacksonville City Hall. Through her art, she continues to celebrate and share the beauty of her community, enriching the cultural landscape of Jacksonville.

Lisa’s pieces have been collected nationally and internationally, and her commissioned works include many local businesses and institutions, such as the Jacksonville Museum of Science and History, the Jacksonville Children’s Chorus, and Vystar.
