Artist Bio
​
Ruth Carroll is an acclaimed artist and winner of the Hallmark Scholastic Arts award, whose work has been prominently featured in numerous exhibitions, including those at Walt Disney World, the cover of St. John's magazine, and the cover of St. Augustine’s Entertainer magazine. A recipient of a prestigious scholarship to the Columbus College of Art and Design, winner of the 2025 Teravarna International figurative award, and being a 2025 Masters of Wildlife top 100 artist, Ruth has made significant contributions to public art, notably completing the Native Wildlife Murals in Tavares, Florida.
 
Ruth's artistic journey is deeply rooted in her appreciation for nature and the inner light of the human spirit. She believes that the eyes are the windows to the soul, and her work aims to evoke reflection, emotion, and joy in viewers. Each piece she creates carries a unique message, emphasizing her belief that art is a universal experience meant for all walks of life.
 
Specializing in oils and acrylics, Ruth employs these mediums to achieve fine details and intricate backgrounds in her paintings. With an extensive portfolio that includes wildlife art, portraiture, and pet portraiture, Ruth draws inspiration from the beauty of nature and the human form.
 
Her painting style is characterized by classic realism, utilizing the indirect method that involves underpainting and layering to build depth, contrast, and vibrancy in her works. Ruth continues to captivate audiences with her profound ability to express the beauty of creation through her artistry.
